Helen began scuba diving in 1993 and is qualified as a PADI Assistant Instructor.

Her passion for diving has taken her to many diverse locations including Egypt, Jordan, Mexico, The Galapagos Islands, South Africa, Zanzibar, Australia, Indonesia, Madagascar and numerous coastal sites in the UK.

Her pre-existing interest in top-side photography was transferred to the underwater realm in 2001 with the purchase of a Motor Marine IIex camera. After a couple of frustrating years using film, she invested in a digital SLR setup and never looked back. She now shoots with a Nikon D70 camera in a Nexus housing using 60mm and 105mm macro along with 10-20mm wide angle lenses.

Helen is based in Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. Out of a wetsuit she can be found working hard as a Brand Manager in a busy biotechnology company.
